For those that have been feeling a little German lately, you’re not alone. BBC and New Albanian Brewing Company have what you need this Saturday beginning at 2 pm down on Clay and Main Streets, as they bring the 2008 Volksfest to Louisville.
Admission to the event is free of cost as all of the proceeds from the beer and food will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, St. Vincent DePaul Society and Louisville Film Society Educational Arm. So guests can feel good about tapping into their inner Griswold and eating, dancing and drinking the day away!

Next Wednesday August 20, 2008 Varanese will celebrate its first birthday. After a year of exceeding expectations the Frankfort Avenue eatery will celebrate with half priced drinks all evening, dinner specials, complimentary pass hors d’ oeuvres and live jazz from the Jeff Sherman Trio. Rumor has it the mayor or someone from the mayor’s office will be on hand during the festivities.
